Thinklogical has developed fiber optic extenders for the Camera-Link™ standard for high performance digital cameras and frame grabbers. The Camera Fiber-Link™ - CFL-3 and CFL-4 - support Base and Full/Medium/Base configurations (respectively). Each extender supports serial connections as well as the camera signals. The CFL-3 utilizes 2 fibers and the CFL-4 requires 3. See cable assemblies. Both models are housed in a compact metallic enclosure small enough to mount easily in cramped environments. The CFL-3 and CFL-4 are available with ST, SC (standard) or LC fiber optic connectors.

Dual CFL 5 RX/TX
Thinklogical’s industrial strength Camera Fiber-Link™ Dual-Base Extension System - CFL-5 is a fiber optic extender for the Camera-Link™ standard for high performance digital cameras and frame grabbers. The CFL-5 transmits images up to 1000 meters (3840 feet) without any kind of amplifiers or repeaters in between. Small enough to mount in cramped environments the CFL-5 fully supports two unsynchronized base or dual-base Camera-Link™ cameras. The CFL-5 receives video data from each camera and converts the data into optical signals and sends them to the CFL-5 transmitter. The transmitter in turn converts the optical signals into video data and sends them out to one dual-base frame grabber (PC).
Dual CFL-6 RX
Thinklogical’s CFL-6 Dual Camera Fiber-Link™ Receiver is a unique component that addresses users who have two cameras in different locations and are tight on space. The Dual CFL-6 RX receives optical data from two CFL3 (Camera Fiber-Link) transmitters and converts them back into video data and sends them out to a frame grabber base.

The entire line of Thinklogical Camera Fiber-Link Extenders features industrial enhancements such as power input, from 5 to 12 V or 12 to 24V. It also features a screw lock (threaded) input which is designed to meet the needs of a rugged industrial environment. In addition, users can use their own DC input. Din rail connectors for mounting and chassis ground post options are also included. Now it is possible to position the camera in any setting from the manufacturing to hostile factory floor environments while keeping the computer secure in a controlled location.
