Effortless Extension of High Speed USB 2.0 Peripherals with Thinklogical’s USB 2.0 Fiber Optic Extender

Thinklogical’s UBS 2.0 Fiber Optic Extender enables users to connect and extend high performance, hi-speed USB peripherals up to 1000 meters over standard duplex multimode fiber. Full support for USB 2.0 devices, such as DVD drives and high speed storage and desktop peripherals empowers the user with instant access to more data, up to 480 mbps. This feature provides seamless access to higher performance applications, such as digital imaging, with little or no downtime.

Comprised of two compact units the USB 2.0 Extender transmitter connects to the host computer with a standard USB cable, the receiver provides four device ports, via an integrated hub, for connection of peripheral devices. LEDs provide link performance status at a glance. Hi-speed USB 2.0 is forward and backward compatible with original USB, and uses the same cables and connectors. External power is required for both the transmitter and receiver units and two universal power supplies are included. For camera applications which limit power, we recommend the
Thinklogical™ USB 2.0 EP Series. The EP Series is only available in the USB 2.0 Model.
