Thin Laptop

As today's thin clients are typically underpowered, the Thin Laptop provides the user a local computing experience, in the office, at home, with any Wi-Fi hotspot or location with wireless broadband.

In the event the Thin Laptop is lost or stolen, the threat of data loss is mitigated as only the Linux OS lives on the 2 GB flash.  As most corporations choose RSA SecurID solutions for VPN connectivity, access to corporate data by non-employees is virtually impossible.

With the Thin Laptop, data is kept where data belongs — in a secure location.  Users access the back end through virtualization client software from HP (RGS), Citrix Client, VDI and R-Desktop (RDP).

Features include:

•  Full motion video support.  The Thin Laptop keeps bandwidth use low which eliminates the higher bandwidth required by the client software to transmit full motion video.
• Zero administration.  The Linux OS has NO administration functionality at the desk.  Administration is handled via a configuration file on a web server.
• Multiple Desktops.  With up to 2 monitors per desktop, the Thin Laptop can combine multiple clients on multiple monitors. This layout is defined by the user, and controlled by the administrator.
