As today's thin clients are typically underpowered, the Thin Laptop provides the user a local computing experience, in the office, at home, with any Wi-Fi hotspot or location with wireless broadband.   

In the event the Thin Laptop is lost or stolen, the threat of data loss is mitigated as only the Linux OS lives on the 2 GB flash.  As most corporations choose RSA SecurID solutions for VPN connectivity, access to corporate data by non-employees is virtually impossible.

With the Thin Laptop, data is kept where data belongs — in a secure location.  Users access the back end through virtualization client software from HP (RGS), Citrix Client, VDI and R-Desktop (RDP).
